I feel just like an embryo
I take it out before you put it back
Put my head between my knees
I search myself for all disease
I separate the bottle from the cap
Chorus...
Is all for something? Is it all part of a plan?
Tranquilize me, sanitize me,Ativan
(My leading woman)
Is all for nothing? Is it all part of a plan?
Make my wish list, mind my business
Do the best I can (with what I am)
Caught up in the baby’s breath
I shit my pants and wet the bed
It takes some time to throw the demons off
Put the lotion in the basket
Now jump off the overpass
It takes some time before the skin comes off
Fill me with the blood of Jesus
Clean my plate ‘til he receives us
Separate the colors from the black
Shut the shades to make it prosper
Cut your face to make it softer
Tell the shadows near us to come back
Chorus...
Is all for nothing? Is it all part of a plan?
Tranquilize me and revise me, Ativan
(My leading woman)
Is it all full circle? Is it all part of a plan?
Make my death wish, mind my business
I’m doing the best I can (with what I am)

This is undoubtedly my single favorite album of all time. It feels like such a perfect culmination of all the themes and ideas Fleet Foxes has been working with since 2008. It answers many of the questions found on both Helplessness Blues and Crack-Up, and represents an incredible maturation and growth in Robin Pecknold's perspective. Their other albums are certainly masterpieces, but this, in my opinion, is their magnum opus. I doubt it will be recognized as such in its time. isaiah_stuart
Stark, folk-derived songs built on brittle acoustic guitars that conjure the image of a fire burning in the distance on a dark night. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 8, 2022
Magic in its purest form. I love Floating Points, I love Pharoah Sanders, I love The London Symphony Orchestra. It's a match made in heaven, and the result is absolutely gorgeous. I have loved this record since its release, and realized I don't own it for some reason. So its time to change that. 9.5/10 honestly could become a 10/10 on an indepth vinyl relisten. angrypizza98
